What to Expect

WHAT TO EXPECT ON A SUNDAY

The main entrance of True North Church is the Unit 8 front door at 100 Nipissing Road. There is plenty of parking in front of all the Nipissing Square business park. Look for the True North Church signs above our front windows. As you enter the front door, you'll come into our lobby where you'll likely encounter a greeter offering a handshake and a friendly smile. We aim to make True North a friendly and casual place where everyone feels welcome. Dress is casual or you can dress up, if you like. You choose.

In the lobby, you will find free, freshly brewed coffee and tea plus some chairs to relax in before the service starts. There is a large video screen in the lobby with a live feed of the entire service. At anytime, you can enter the auditorium and find a seat. A friendly usher will always be nearby if you need assistance of any kind. Service begins at 10:00am and lasts about 60-75 minutes.

The worship portion of our service is led with a live band and we sing a mix of mostly contemporary worship songs. The words to the songs and Scripture verses used are projected above the stage. Pastor Alan's messages are Bible-based and his communication style is easy to listen to. They will challenge and encourage you right where you live. Each message series has a theme that typically lasts from 3-6 weeks (see home page for current series info).

If you have kids, you can exit the lobby to the right, you will find the Child Registration kiosk where children can be safely checked into our great children's programs - True North Kids, True North Kids Jr., or the Nursery (all TN Kids volunteers are trained and have properly cleared police checks). We also have a private Mom's room off the lobby area which has a live video feed of the entire service. Nursing moms and moms with small children are welcome to use this room as needed.
