At True North, we believe every member is called to a lifestyle of prayer. We should all be learning the art of prayer... and developing a relationship with our Heavenly Father. James 5:16 says, "The earnest prayer of a righteous person has great power and produces wonderful results."

Each believer's supply in prayer has value and is precious to God. When believers pray and seek the Lord together through united, corporate prayer, it brings the power of God on the scene in the lives of individuals and in the Church at large. It is our desire that every person find their place in the prayer life of our church, not only so they can be a blessing to others, but so they themselves can also be richly blessed and reap the rewards that prayer can bring.

“Therefore I exhort first of all that supplications, prayers, intercessions and giving of thanks be made for all men ...Continue earnestly in prayer, being vigilant in it with thanksgiving ...Pray without ceasing..." (1 Timothy 2:1; Colossians 4:2; 1 Thessalonians 5:17)

FIRST TUESDAYS

First Tuesdays is a larger venue of prayer for the True North Church family. Here, our church joins together for an hour of praise and prayer under the leadership of our pastors or other qualified prayer leaders. First Tuesday prayer services happen on the first Tuesday of each month, all through the year - at the church, from 7:30-8:30pm.

First Tuesdays are vital to the spiritual health of our church. Every local church must have members who provide ongoing prayer support in order to sustain Spirit-led and Spirit-empowered ministry. When we neglect prayer out of busyness or laziness, we forfeit the grace and power of God that we desperately need to fulfill our God-given mission.
